Jet Engine Introduction
This e-Learning familiarization course introduces the fundamentals
of jet engine design, including the concepts of propulsion and
bypass ratio; the function of various gas turbine engine components;
the development of the dual spool engine, and the evolution of
gas turbine engines in response to marketplace demands.
Course duration: one hour.
Advanced Jet Engine Operation
This companion to Jet Engine Introduction examines in detail
the operation of the fuel, oil, and air systems, and provides an
overview of environmental, regulatory and cost issues.
Course duration: one hour.
Human Factors Awareness
Human Factors Awareness continues to gain importance as a
crucial means for ensuring aviation health and safety. This course
explores the theory behind various human factors models; illustrates
everyday situations that invite error and mistakes; depicts serious,
real-life incidents involving “The Dirty Dozen,” and describes
methods to ensure continued training and awareness.

JT8D (-7 through -17) On-Wing Maintenance
ATA Level: I, II and III
Provides an overview of JT8D design specifications and features. It
also explains engine systems and components, aircraft interfaces,
