Using Published Data with LPC Browser
Once you published your manuals and you want to display it
on LPC Browser.
- Copy the manual inside: <foct-installation-dir>\data
- Load “LoadManuals.bat”.
This will recreate the table of manuals within LPC Browser.
This little tool is useful for authors during their manual tests
on ground.
Warning: This tools shall not be used by end-users ! => LPC
Browser deliveries to pilots shall not include this tool.

In “foct-data”

The list of the manuals in LPC Browser is controlled by aib.view.
Add your manuals and sort it in aib.view.
They will be displayed in LPC Browser like you created them in LPC Browser.

Manuals are recognized by one criteria this criteria should
be unique for all manuals displayed by LPC Browser:
In the manual folder: a file called “manual.view” hold the
whole configuration of the manual.
Open the “manual.view” in the first line of the file, target the
“key” attribute. This attribute should be unique, you may
have to change it.

In order to consult published manual in LPC Browser, you
must execute the following steps:
1. Copy published data to consultation environment
2. Update/Check the aib.view LPC Browser parameter
file
3. Update CRT file if needed.

3. Update/Check the aib.view LPC Browser parameter file MANUAL

Can also be an absolute path (I.e.

LPC Browser Onboard Configuration
A380 Uses principle of FIN to load data onboard.
Each manual is stored in its specific FIN. (It is recommended to follow as
much as possible Airbus FIN attributions).
LPC Browser uses the LPC Browser Airline configuration table to store
AIB.view.
Display of manuals and the order of display are defined by AIB.view file.
This mechanism ensure the possibility to install several manuals and keep
always same FIN number for the manuals. If there is a change in the order
the manuals shall be displayed, only LPC Browser Airline configuration table
(AIB.view) will be changed.
