Start Application (Distributed)
For starting FODM distributed, on the server side, you need to start FODM application.
All the applications runs as services: Apache, Hsqldb and FODM server.
Check that apache is running, if not, start it: (start menu, apache
monitor)
<apache path>\Apache2\bin\ApacheMonitor.exe
Stop FODM service.
Start Database service.
Start FODM service.
Launches a shortcut in the task bar.
This script should be run once if FODM service
was not installed.
Look in the FODM installation directory for the programs
available:

With the FODM monitor, an “Apache like” monitor, to manage the applications
In the tasks bar, double click on
the FODM monitor.
In the same way, you can manage
the database.

FODM monitor.
“Start FODM Server” starts the Hsqldb database (if not already started) and
then starts the FODM server.
“Open services” options opens the Windows services panel.

Check the processes are working.
These Java.exe process are
FODM and Hsqldb services.
The database and FODM are launched as services. Then can
be seen in the Windows services panel.
Connection to FODM client will be done later on in the
training.
