Dispatch A Manual
The Dispatch of a manual can be associated with the creation of a load.
Tick the box: Load.
Fill the necessary information to create the load.
Enter Part number and slot given by
platform admin
IMPORTANT: 1. Identifier and package name: use the same name
2. Use lower case. Do not use spaces
3. For the Identifier, package name, slot and target. ALWAYS USE THE SAME VALUES FOR THE
SAME MANUAL.

Airbus modification markers are removed from DU during a Dispatch.
Thus the authors can target only the new changes brought by the last
Airbus revision.
Airlines modification markers are kept.

Revision Management Tasks
Revision management happens when airline modifications on DU are
present in the manual and a new release of manual is loaded in
FODM.
This leads to three main tasks:
1. Review of the modified Airbus parts
2. Check Airline parts
3. Decision making: copy Airbus or keep Airline

Tasks to perform for a successful update of a manual
Update The Manual
1 Check that the manual is ready for update:
- No author is working on the manual
- All DU are checked in.
2 Load your manual:
-FODM performs a manual update.
3 Check all new Airbus DU
-Check new DU and DU revisions
-Decide to import it or not.
4 Validate your new version of manual
- Switch each DU to release state
- Freeze and Dispatch your manual.

Prior importing a new version of manual, check that all DU are checked in:
Open the Workspace tab.
Check that all DU are checked in.

Update with the new release of AIB manual.

After an update of manual, the manual responsible has to:
- Review all new Airbus parts
- Decide when an Airbus part shall be imported or not
- Import the new or updated Airbus Parts

need to review all Airbus modifications.
How to find all Airbus modifications ?
Select Airbus R version
Use the revision toolbar to navigate to next airbus revision.

In manual explorer, Airbus R area,
select the PS of the manual
FODM displays the next airbus
revisions (it can be a PSL, invariant
or a solution).

Manual responsible open the updated.
He will use the arrows to switch between Airbus R and Working revision.

versions.

edit the DU and manually add modifications brought by Airbus R version.
