Java Web Start
FODM application is
automatically installed on the
client computer and is launched.
Shortcuts are automatically
added on the client machine.
When FODM client is installed,
FODM prompts for login.
The client-server session can
start.

On the client workstation, run
the Java Web Start from the
Start/Program Files/Java Web
Start menu…
Enter the following address in the upper bar:
http://servername/fosp/ (do not forget the ending ‘/’
(slash), where servername is the name of the host
where FODM server was installed
FODM icon will appear in the
applications box.
Double click on the icon to
proceed with the web deployment
of the application
The client deployment can be performed
by any end-user, by simply following this
second procedure:

The following screens should
successively be displayed: Java is loaded…
The application is loaded from the
server to client machine:
User is prompted for confirming the installation
of the application on the client machine:

At this stage, an icon is created on the Windows desktop and in the start menu.
The application is launched…
You can finally connect
to the application, using
root login.

deployment…
Run the Java Web Start from the
Start/Program Files/Java Web Start
menu…
Select the File/preferences menu

Confirm and restart the deployment

Java 5 and 6 shall be unticked.
