GDU Principle
GDU: Group of Documentary Units permits to manage very complex DU.
After publication the GDU regroups several DU inside one single DU.
It concatenates the child invariants and solutions.

GDU Basics
GDU permits to split the published DU in several logical DU-INV and DUSOL
in the edition tool.
This is convenient for editing the DU.
This makes published DU long.
Effectivity can set on different DU of the GDU.
This permits to compose published DU with a different content depending
on the aircraft.
This will lead to complex publication.

TDU Principle
TDU permits to create a Temporary DU that will replace the DU.
The original DU is still present in the manual. The TDU has a link to the
original DU.
The TDU is highlighted with a yellow table at the top of the manual and
with a yellow dashed line at the left of the DU.

Setting a TDU
The TDU is a normal DU with a metadata TDU set to True. The TDU is
linked to an original DU.
The TDU is marked as TDU = Yes in the metadata tab.
To change the DU into a TDU, user shall open the XML editor, set the
metadata tab, tick “TDU” then Browse to the linked DU.

The TDU is highlighted with a yellow table at the top of the manual and
with a yellow dashed line at the left of the DU.
In LPC Browser, the list of TDU is recalled in the last element of the
manual tree, in a PSL called “TDU”.

Functional / Structural PSL
Structural PSL is used for creating a structure to the flight ops manual.
Functional PSL permits to set an ATA breakdown, or chapters to the
PSL.
FODM, by default creates Structural PSL and set a generic PSL Code

Linear DU
By default the DU are “Linear DU”: they are displayed in the LPC
Browser manual tree.
Non Linear DU are not displayed in the LPC Browser manual tree, but
can be searched and can be accessed by links or on ECAM message.
User shall open the XML editor, select metadata tab and tick/untick the
Linear option
