designed with fewer and smaller access panels and
maintenance times could be reduced.
This paper presents early stage results of the
demonstration snake-arm robot and outlines
expectations for future development. The paper
identifies critical design parameters for the snake-arm
and considers the tools and processes to be delivered
by the snake-arm.
