Note: Only do this part of the procedure if you will replace the power lever.
(1) Remove the Old Power Lever from the Bottom Cover Plate

(1) Remove the 4 screws that attach the power lever
to the bottom cover panel of the center console.
Refer to Figure 2.
(2) Carefully lift the face plate as far as possible.
(3) Turn the face plate and move it through the hole
in the bottom cover plate.
(4) Turn the bottom cover plate and lift it off the
power lever.
(5) Assemble the face plate to the old power lever.
(2) Install a New Power Lever to the Bottom Cover Plate

(1) Remove the 4 screws that attach the face plate to
the new power lever.
(2) Move the bottom cover panel over the power
lever and face plate.
Make sure that the white plastic shield
and the front and rear shield guides are
in the correct position.
(3) Install the 4 screws that attach the power lever to
the bottom cover panel of the center console.
(4) Move the power lever through the full range. The lever must move freely with the
white plastic shield.

C. Install the Power Lever

(1) Make sure that the engine is safe:
S Set the ELECTRIC MASTER key switch to
OFF.
S Set the ENGINE MASTER switch to OFF.
(2) Put the bottom cover plate and power lever in
position adjacent to the center console.
Refer to Figure 2.
(3) Connect the 2 electrical in-line connectors for the
power lever.
(4) Check for correct potentiometer signal with ECU
Operator software (Overview page).
S Left and Right potentiometer signals should
not differ by more than 20 units.
S Power Setting must be at 0 % with the power
lever at IDLE and 99.9 % with the power lever
at MAX.
Refer to Section 72-01.
(5) Put the power lever and the bottom cover plate in
position in the center console.
(6) Install the 2 screws that attach the cover plate at
the rear.
(7) Install the top cover plate to the center console.
S Install the 2 screws that hold the top cover
plate on top of the bottom cover plate.
(8) Install the lever for the emergency fuel valve:
S Put the lever in position on the shaft.
S Install the screw.
(9) Do a test for correct operation of the emergency
fuel valve lever:
S Move the lever from OFF to NORMAL to
EMERG. TRANSFER.
Make sure that the safety lock operates
correctly.
(10) Do a ground run-up. Refer to Section 71-01.

3. Remove/Install the ECU
A. Remove the ECU

(1) Make sure that the engine is safe:
S Set the ELECTRIC MASTER key switch to
OFF.
S Set the ENGINE MASTER switch to OFF.
S Set the power lever to IDLE.
(2) Remove the left pilot’s seat. Refer to Section 25-10.
(3) Release the 2 electrical connectors from the
ECU.
Refer to Figure 3.
(4) Release the 4 hose connections from the ECU.
(5) Release the 4 bolts and washers that hold the
ECU to the mounting brackets.
(6) Remove the ECU from the airplane.

B. Install the ECU
CAUTION: YOU MUST CONTACT THE ENGINE MANUFACTURER BEFORE YOU
INSTALL A NEW ECU.

(2) Before installation of a new ECU:
% S Check the part no. on the sticker.
% S Check the Software Revision and Mapping on
% the sticker.
% (3) Put the ECU in position below the pilot’s seat. Refer to Figure 3.
% (4) Install the 4 bolts and washers that hold the ECU
to the mounting brackets.
% (5) Connect the 4 hoses to the ECU.
% (6) Connect the 2 electrical connectors from the
