amended regulations for the aircraft;
the direction referred to in paragraph (c) applies to the record as if it were a record made
under regulation 50A of the amended regulations.
Transitional: delegations
48. (1) A delegation of or powers conferred by subregulation 24 (2), 34 (3),
35 (7), 43 (1), 47 (1), 47 (3) or regulation 49 of the previous regulations that was in
force immediately before the commencement has effect after the commencement as if it
were a delegation of the powers conferred by the subregulation, or regulation, as
amended by these regulations.
(2) A delegation of the powers conferred by a provision of the previous
regulations set out in Column 1 of the following table that was in force immediately
before the commencement has effect after the commencement as if it were a delegation
of the powers conferred by the provision of the amended regulations set out in Column 2
of the table opposite the first-mentioned provision.

11. Regulation 28 of Statutory Rules 1992 No. 174 reads as follows:
“28. Saving
28.1 A permission that was given under subregulation 134 (1) of the Civil Aviation
Regulations and in force, or purporting to be in force, immediately before the
commencement of these Regulations continues in force, or is taken to be in force, after
the commencement as if it were a permission given under subregulation 134 (1) of the
Civil Aviation Regulations as amended by these Regulations.
28.2 A permission to which subregulation applies, continues in force subject to any
conditions to which it was subject immediately before the commencement of these
regulations.”
12. Part 2 of Statutory Rules No. 279 of 1992 reads as follows:
“Division 1—Interpretation Provisions
35. Interpretation
35.1 In this Part:
‘commencement’ means the commencement of these Regulations;
‘medical standard 1’ has the same meaning as in regulation 6.01 of the new regulations;
‘medical standard 2’ has the same meaning as in regulation 6.01 of the new regulations;
‘medical standard 3’ has the same meaning as in regulation 6.01 of the new regulations;
‘new aircraft radiotelephone operator certificate of proficiency’ means an aircraft
radiotelephone operator certificate of proficiency issued under subregulation 83A (2) of
the new regulations;
‘new commercial pilot (aeroplane) licence’ means a commercial pilot (aeroplane)
licence issued under subregulation 5.09 (1) of the new regulations ;
‘new commercial pilot (airship) licence’ means a commercial pilot (airship) licence
issued under subregulation 5.09 (1) of the new regulations;
‘new commercial pilot (balloon) licence’ means a commercial pilot (balloon) licence
issued under subregulation 5.09 (1) of the new regulations;

‘new commercial pilot (gyroplane) licence’ means a commercial pilot (gyroplane)
licence issued under subregulation 5.09 (1) of the new regulations;
‘new commercial pilot (helicopter) licence’ means a commercial pilot (helicopter)
licence issued under subregulation 5.09 (1) of the new regulations;
‘new flight engineer licence’ means a flight engineer licence issued under
subregulation 5.09 (1) of the new regulations;
‘new flight radiotelephone operator licence’ means a flight radiotelephone operator
licence issued under subregulation 5.09 (1) of the new regulations;
‘new grade of rating’ means a grade of flight crew rating issued under subregulation
5.14 (2) of the new regulations;
‘new licence’ means any of the following:
(a) a new commercial pilot (aeroplane) licence;
(b) a new commercial pilot (airship) licence;
(c) a new commercial pilot (balloon) licence;
