V = Vertical G load, S = Side G load, A = fore and aft G load
1.3 Loads shown are allowable limit loads except where otherwise specified.
1.2 No deflection permitted in engine or in shipping or ground handling locations when installing into handling fixtures or shipping containers.
1.1 Drawing interpretations per Specification PWA 360.

Design and proof loads for the engine stand are shown in Figure 5-11. Any element of the transport system to be used in hoisting or lifting the complete engine powerplant will be designed to a safety factor of not less than five for the total weight of the maximum EBU configuration.
The stand incorporates a shock attenuation arrangement which provides a suspended system natural frequency of 7-10 Hz. Sufficient sway space is allowed to permit proper functioning of the shock mounts during truck transport.

5.5 GROUND HANDLING
5.5.1 Ground Handling For Engine Transport
The engine ground handling stand includes provisions for fork lifting from either side. The stand is towable to 5 mph (8 km/h) on paved, smooth surfaces and incorporates a towbar usable at either end. All of the requirements for the engine transportation stand except special shock and vibration protection are incorporated in the engine ground handling stand. Pneumatic tires may be used for ground transport instead of casters.

6 TEST CELL
6.1 GENERAL
6.1.1 Engine Test Cell Overview
Engine Testing is an integral part of a commercial air carriers engine maintenance operation and is performed in an engine test cell to verify performance of an engine. The testing may be carried out after repairs in the shop are accomplished or prior to a shop visit to verify squawks from flight operations or as a diagnostic tool to establish required repairs.
