2.11 ENGINE MOUNT
2.11.1 Engine Mount Description
Engine thrust and axial load are transmitted through a pair of brackets attached to the intermediate case outer flange at approximately 548 on each side of the top vertical centerline. A rectangular pad located on the top vertical centerline of the intermediate case absorbs the vertical and side loads at the front of the engine. The forward engine mount is shown on Figure 2-13.
Rear mounting provisions are located in the double flange on the turbine exhaust case. Holes through the flanges are approximately 338 on each side of the top centerline. A third mounting hole on the top centerline is fitted with a link to absorb side and torque loads. The aft engine mount is shown on Figure 2-14.

3 ENGINE GROUND HANDLING
3.1 GENERAL
3.1.1 Engine Ground Handling Description
The PW2000 Series fan cowl, core cowl and thrust reverser are hinged to the strut structure. Regular engine maintenance is accomplished with the cowling held open by integral telescoping rods which are connected to the engine. During engine change, a GSE designed hold-open fixture is required for the core cowl and thrust reverser. Such devices are illustrated herein.
Allowable load limits on the engine ground handling points as established by Pratt and Whitney Aircraft are shown in CHAPTER5. This data (shown on Figure 5-7) was compiled to enable the designer to configure the ground handling equipment such that no adverse load is transmitted to the engine.

3.2 ENGINE REMOVAL GROUND HANDLING PROVISIONS
3.2.1 Engine Removal Ground Handling Description
The forward ground handling pads are located on the fan discharge case. The primary pads are located, two per side, near the horizontal centerline. A secondary pad, used for a top pick-up, is located on the top vertical centerline. An illustration showing the front ground handling pads, with pertinent dimensions, are shown on figure 3–1 and Figure 3-2. The front primary ground handling pads will react to all moments as well as vertical, side and axial loads.
