(b)
The owner, operator, or bailee of the aircraft shall, upon request, make it available for inspection by the Administrator.
(c) Upon suspension, revocation, or termination by order of the Administrator of an airworthiness certi.cate, the owner, operator, or bailee of an aircraft shall, upon request, surrender the certi.cate to the Administrator.

FAR 21.182 : Aircraft identi.cation.
(a)
Except asprovidedinparagraph(b) ofthis section,each applicantforan airwor-thiness certi.cate under this subpart must show that his aircraft is identi.ed as prescribed in Sec. 45.11.
(b)
Paragraph(a) of this sectiondoes not apply to applicantsforthefollowing :
(1)
A special .ight permit.
(2)
[An experimental certi.cate for an aircraft that is not amateur-built or kit-built].
(3)
A change from one airworthiness classi.cation to another, for an aircraft al-ready identi.ed as prescribed in Sec. 45.11.

FAR 21.183 : Issue of standard airworthiness certi.cates for normal, utility, acrobatic, commuter, and transport category aircraft; mannedfreeballoons; and special classes of aircraft.
(a)
New aircraft manufactured under a production certi.cate. An applicant for a stan-dard airworthiness certi.cate for a new aircraft manufactured under a production certi.cate is entitled to a standard airworthiness certi.cate without further sho-wing, except that the Administrator may inspect the aircraft to determine confor-mity to the type design and condition for safe operation.
(b)
New aircraft manufactured under type certi.cate only. An applicant for a standard airworthiness certi.cate for a new aircraft manufactured under a type certi.cate only is entitled to a standard airworthiness certi.cate upon presentation, by the holder orlicensee of thetype certi.cate, of the statement of conformityprescribed inSec.21.130if theAdministrator .nds afterinspectionthatthe aircraft conforms to the type design and is in condition for safe operation.
(c)
Import aircraft. An applicant for a standard airworthiness certi.cate for an import aircraft type certi.cated in accordance with Sec. 21.29 of this Part is entitled to an airworthiness certi.cate if the country in which the aircraft was manufactured certi.es, and the Administrator .nds, that the aircraft conforms to the type design and is in condition for safe operation.
(d)
Other aircraft. An applicant for a standard airworthiness certi.cate for aircraft not covered by paragraphs (a) through (c) of this section is entitled to a standard airworthiness certi.cate if–
(1)
Hepresents evidence to the Administrator that the aircraft conforms to a type design approvedunder a type certi.cate or a supplemental type certi.cate and to applicable Airworthiness Directives;
(2)
The aircraft(except an experimentally certi.cated aircraft thatpreviouslyhad been issued a di.erent airworthiness certi.cate under this section) has been inspected in accordance with the performance rules for 100-hour inspections set forth in Sec. 43.15 of this chapter and found airworthy by–

Subpart H–Airworthiness Certi.cates
(i)
The manufacturer;
(ii)
The holder of a repair station certi.cate as provided in Part 145 of this chapter;
(iii) The holder of a mechanic certi.cate as authorized in Part 65 of this chapter; or
(iv) The holder of a certi.cate issued under Part 121 of this chapter, and having a maintenance and inspection organization appropriate to the air-crafttype; and
(3) The Administrator .nds after inspection, that the aircraft conforms to the type design, and is in condition for safe operation.
(e)
Noise requirements. Notwithstanding all other provisions of this section, the follo-wing must be complied with for the original issuance of a standard airworthiness certi.cate :
