Put a new O-ring in the groove on the inner flange of the fuel level sensor.

Make sure the flange on the fuel level sensor and the inner surface of the rear spar are clean.

Apply the surface treatment coating on the inner surface of the rear spar (AMM 51-21-04/701).

Put the end of the fuel level sensor that attaches to the electrical connector through the hole in the rear spar.

From out of the surge tank, put the washer and the nut on the fuel level sensor.

Tighten the nut on the fuel level sensor to 216-264 in-lbs.

Make sure the bonding resistance between the fuel level sensor and the airplane structure is not more than 0.0025 ohm (AMM 20-10-21/601).

Install the electrical connector on the fuel level sensor.
