(1)
Put a new gaskoseal on the vent flame arrestor.

Install the vent flame arrestor in the housing of the vent flame arrestor.

(3)
Align the tube with the vent flame arrestor.

(4)
Install the bolts and washers (12 locations) to attach the tube and the vent flame arrestor to the housing of the vent flame arrestor.

Apply the sealant (BMS 5-26 Type II Class A-1/2 and BMS 5-26 Type II Class B-1/2) (AMM 51-31-01/201) around the bolts.

SURGE TANK DRAIN CHECK VALVE - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. A drain check valve is installed on the inboard side of each end rib in the surge tank. The drain check valve prevents the flow of fuel into the surge tank from the main fuel tank.
