Drain and purge the applicable fuel tank (AMM 28-11-00/201).

Remove the main tank access door, 542DB or 642DB (AMM 28-11-01/401).

Obey the fuel tank entry precautions (AMM 28-11-00/201).

Go into the fuel tank and find the fuel vent float valve (10).

Remove the bolts (6), washers (7), and nuts (8) from the fuel vent float valve (10) and the vent stringer.

Remove the fuel vent float valve (10).

Remove the O-ring (9).
