(3)  Install the flexible hose which connects the fuel pump to the firewall connector. 
(4)  Install the flexible hose which connects the fuel pump to the gascolator. 
(5)  Connect the electrical cable to the fuel pump.  At then in-line connector. 
(6)  Set the circuit-breaker for the fuel pump.  Instrument panel, right side. 
(7)  Do a test for leaks at the connections for the electric fuel pump and related equipment: S Set the airplane ALT/BAT switch to ON. S Set the electric fuel pump to ON. S Set the fuel selector valve to LEFT or RIGHT. S Examine the fuel pump and connections for fuel leaks. S Set the selector valve to OFF. S Set the electric fuel pump to OFF. S Set the airplane ALT/BATT switch to OFF.  Select tank with more fuel.

% This Section tells you about the fuel distribution system for airplanes with the TAE 125 Diesel engine % installed. The fuel distribution system supplies fuel from the fuel tanks to the engine. This Section tells % you about the components and equipment which make the fuel distribution system. These are the % components of the fuel distribution system:

% 2. Description
% Figure 1 shows the main components of the fuel distribution system for the DA 40 with the TAE 125 % Diesel engine installed.
% A flexible fuel hose connects the left wing fuel tank to the emergency fuel valve. The emergency fuel % valve is located in the fuselage, under the cockpit floor. The emergency fuel valve connects to the % gascolator.
% Flexible hoses connect the outlet from the gascolator to a bulkhead connector at the firewall. A flexible % hose with an integral fire-sleeve connects the bulkhead connector to the inlet to the engine fuel filter.
% A flexible hose connects the right wing tank to a T-piece attached to the emergency inlet of the % emergency fuel valve. A flexible hose from the second outlet from the T-piece connects to a check % valve and further to the inlet of the fuel transfer pump. Another flexible hose connects the outlet of the % fuel transfer pump to a T-piece in the return line.
% The return line from the engine filter goes through the fuselage to a check valve and further to the % cooling loop inlet of the right wing tank. The cooling loop outlet from the right tank connects to the T-% piece in the return line and further to the return inlet of the left fuel tank.
