This screen permits the pilot to estimate the duration and range available with a given amount of fuel. These calcu-lations are performed after all editable .elds have data in them, and DIRECT soft key is pressed. Editable soft .elds contain:
a.
The amount of fuel available and expected fuel .ow, both entered by the pilot.
b.
Either the current, or pilot entered groundspeed.
c.
The displays and functions of active soft keys are as follows:
CONTROL/ FUNCTION INDICATOR
gFUEL AMT Selects and displays pounds of fuel available, as previously calculated.
gFUEL FLOW Selects and displays fuel .ow, as previously entered.
gGS Enter groundspeed for the duration calculation. Upon entry, the FUEL AMT, FUEL FLOW, and GS values set are the last entered values on any calculator screen.
DURATION Displays the calculated .ight time remaining based on available fuel.
RANGE Displays the calculated range in nautical miles remaining based on groundspeed.
COMPUTEs Calculates duration and range, and displays results.
RTNg Returns to previously displayed screen.
3.12.5.6 Range and Bearing Screen. This screen cal-culates the range and bearing between a common waypoint and any three waypoints in the waypoint list when the COMPUTE soft key is pressed. Range and bearing to all TO waypoints is calculated using a great circle direct-to path between the FROM and each of the TO waypoints. The displays and functions of active soft keys are as fol-lows:

RANGE Displays great circle distance in nautical miles between the TO and FROM waypoints.
BRG Displays magnetic bearing between the two waypoints measured from the FROM waypoint.
gFR WPT Enter FROM waypoint number and name. When soft key is pressed, present position is displayed.
COMPUTEs Commands CDU to compute the range and bearing between entered TO and FROM waypoints.
RTNg Returns screen. to previously displayed
3.12.6 Operation.
3.12.6.1 Navigate Flight Plan.

Access FPLN 1,or FPLN 2 control screen. ENGAGE soft key -Press to activate the .ight plan.

3.12.6.2 Direct To Operation.

3.12.6.3 Search Pattern Operation.

Access CREEPLINE, EXPAND -SQR,or SECTOR control screen. Enter waypoint num-ber, as desired. ARM soft key -Press to acti-vate the search pattern if there is an active .ight plan that has the START AT waypoint in it, otherwise ENGAGE soft key -Press.

BRG 1 DIST switch -DOPPLER/GPS.

MODE SEL DOP GPS switch -DOP GPS.
3.13 DOPPLER/GPS NAVIGATION SET (DGNS) AN/ASN-128B.
The AN/ASN-128B DGNS is a Doppler navigation sen-sor, with an embedded GPS receiver. The AN/ASN-128B in conjunction with the aircraft’s heading, vertical refer-ences, and position and velocity updates from its internal GPS, provides the Avionics Management system accurate aircraft position information from ground level to 10,000 feet. The sensor operates either as blended Doppler-GPS, or Doppler or GPS alone.
3.13.1 Antenna. The GPS antenna is located on the top aft section of the helicopter, and the Doppler antenna is on the underside of the cabin section (Figure 3-1).
