Make sure the dimension between the latch stiffener assembly and the edge of the life vest envelope compartment on the door is 0.71-0.81 inch (View B-B).

If you do not get the 0.71-0.81 inch dimension, find the quantity of forward or aft movement of the latch stiffener assembly necessary to get the 0.71-0.81 inch dimension. Make a written record of this quantity.

Push the latch bar to open the life vest access door.

Loosen the two mounting screws at each end of the latch stiffener assembly.

Adjust the latch stiffener assembly forward or aft to the quantity specified in the written record.

Tighten the mounting screws on the latch stiffener assembly.
