 1.  General (Fig. 1)

 A.  Lighting for the cargo area is from incandescent lights in the ceiling, sidewalls, side cargo door, and nose cargo door.

 2.  Ceiling Lights

 A.  The floodlight modules are attached to the compartment ceiling along the centerline of the cargo area. Module housings are attached to the ceiling with screws.
 (1)  
The ceiling light adjacent to the crew ladder opening is also an access light for the upper deck.

 (2)  
The forward ceiling lights are also the threshold lights for the nose door.


 3.  Sidewall Lights

 A.  The floodlight modules are attached to the walls on both sides of the cargo compartment.
 (1)  
Each light is installed above a reveal in the upper sidewall.

 (2)  
The forward sidewall adjacent to the crew ladder is also an access light for the upper deck.


 4.  Side Cargo Door Lights

 A.  The cargo door has lights installed across the top part of the door.
 (1)  The incandescent lights are the same modules used for the ceiling lights. Each module is installed in a door panel recess. The incandescent lights are used to light the cargo door ramp area when the door position is open.
 (a)  The incandescent lights are also referred to as ramp lights.
 5.  Nose Cargo Door Lights

 A.  The nose cargo door has lights installed across the top part of the door.
 (1)  The incandescent lights are the same modules used for the ceiling lights. Each module is installed in a door panel recess. The incandescent lights are used to light the nose cargo door ramp area when the door position is open.
 (a)  The incandescent lights are also referred to as ramp lights.
 6.  Operation
_________
 A.  There is 115 volts ac of electrical power supplied to transformers. The transformers supply 28 volts ac to operate the incandescent lights.
 B.  The sidewall and ceiling lights are controlled with switches on the attendant's panel and the panel adjacent to each cargo door. Lights on the cargo doors are controlled by switches in the doors.
 (1)  Lights in the nose area are controlled with switches on the panel adjacent to the nose cargo door.
