R NOTE : Do not let the cylinder weight be held by the hoses only. This____
R may cause damage to the hoses.
R (5) Install the lockstay brace tool (13) as follows:
R (a) Replace the removed lockstay actuator (7) with the LOCKSTAY BRACE
R TOOL (13).
R (b) Loosen the lock-nuts (15).
R (c) Adjust the length of the lockstay brace tool by turning the
R adjuster-nut (16). Set the brace tool length so that its ends
R align with the sidestay and lockstay attachments.
R (d) Install the pin (8).
R (e) Install the pin (2) and the washer (1).
R (f) Install the washer (3) and the nut (4).
R (g) Install the sleeve (12) and the bolt (10).
R (h) Tighten the lock-nuts (15).
R (6) Attach the lockstay actuator to the lockstay brace tool as follows:
R (a) Release and open the clamps (20) on the support-arms (18) and
R (21).
R (b) Put the lockstay actuator (7) on the brace tool (13).
R (c) Position the lockstay actuator (7) in the support arms (18) and

R Removal of the Brace Tool from the Lockstay Actuator
R WARNING : PUT THE SAFETY DEVICES AND THE WARNING NOTICES IN POSITION BEFORE YOU_______
R START A TASK ON OR NEAR:
R - THE FLIGHT CONTROLS
R - THE FLIGHT CONTROL SURFACES
R - THE LANDING GEAR AND THE RELATED DOORS
R - COMPONENTS THAT MOVE.
R WARNING : MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING_______
R GEAR.
R CAUTION : WHEN YOU DO A MAINTENANCE TASK THAT USES COMMON GREASE, USE ONLY_______
R GREASES OF THE SAME SPECIFICATION (IT IS PERMITTED TO USE DIFFERENT
R BRANDS IF THEIR SPECIFICATIONS ARE THE SAME). DO NOT MIX GREASES THAT
R HAVE CLAY THICKENERS WITH GREASES THAT HAVE LITHIUM THICKENERS. THIS
R MIXTURE CAN CHANGE THE LUBRICATION PROPERTIES OF THE GREASE. IF YOU
R USE GREASES OF DIFFERENT TYPES (SPECIALLY THOSE WITH CLAY THICKENERS
R AND LITHIUM THICKENERS), DECREASE THE SERVICE INTERVALS OF THE
R AIRCRAFT (BY HALF, FOR EXAMPLE) SPECIFIED IN THE MAINTENANCE PLANNING
R DOCUMENT. DO THIS FOR APPROXIMATELY THREE OR FOUR SERVICES (REFER TO
