A. Safety Precautions
(1)
Put the safety barriers in position.
(2)
Make sure that the ground safety locks are installed on the landing gear (Ref. TASK 32-00-00-481-001).
(3)
On the panel 400VU:
-make sure that the landing-gear control-lever 6GA is in the DOWN position
-put a warning notice in position to tell persons not to operate the landing gear.
(4)
Put warning notices in position to tell persons not to operate the landing gear doors.

B. Get Access
(1)
Put the access platform in position adjacent to the applicable MLG.
(2)
Disconnect the side-stay from the MLG side-stay lower attachment lug(s) and remove the lower cardan joint (Ref. TASK 32-11-18-000-001).

A. Inspection of the MLG Side-Stay Attachment Lug
(1)
Visually examine the MLG side-stay lower attachment lug. Look for signs of cracks in the paint finish, distortion, stress and fatigue.
(2)
Measure the out-of-roundness of the internal diameter W, you must measure the two bushes. The internal diameter W must be round within 30 microns (1200 micro-inches).
