A. Safety Precautions
(1)
Put the safety barriers in position.
(2)
Make sure that the ground safety locks are on the landing gear (Ref. TASK 32-00-00-481-001).
(3)
On the panel 400VU:
-make sure that the landing-gear control-lever 6GA is in the DOWN position
-put a warning notice in position to tell persons not to operate the landing gear controls.

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1)
Open the main gear doors (Ref. TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(2)
Make sure the GROUND LOCK SLEEVE (460005835) is on the applicable main gear door actuator.

Do the flight configuration precautions procedure (Ref. TASK 32-00-00-860-001).

(a) Use a clean MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003) made moist with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-026) to clean the area to be examined.

Examine the MLG sliding tube for:
-corrosion
-wear
-damage to the protective treatment.
(3)
If you find wear or damage, refer to (Ref. CMM 321133) for repair procedures.
