Michelin Authorized Service Centers (ASCs)
are a network of highly regarded fi xed-based operators
that help assure our general aviation tires are available
everywhere you fl y. In addition to in-stock Michelin®
tires, our ASCs also offer on-site warranty adjustments,
factory-trained tire experts, and tire care and safety
tips. We work with our ASCs on the ground to keep you
in the air.
Michelin offers a wide selection of aircraft tire Training
and Reference materials for all levels of aviation
professionals, including detailed technical manuals
and self-study certifi cation courses. Michelin also offers
on-the-road Technical Conferences specifi cally
created to meet our customers’ individual needs.
Michelin Retreads are designed to provide an identical
level of quality and consistent landings per tread, while
reducing our customer’s operating costs. Our retreading
facilities are located on three continents in order to serve
our global customer base.

Michelin leading the way…
…As early as 1908, Michelin instituted the Michelin Prize for Aviation,
which awarded technological innovation and encouraged budding
aviators to fl y higher and further than ever before.
Michelin building for the future…
…Michelin manufactured 1,884 aircraft as part of the war effort during
World War I. Highly advanced for its time, the Bréguet-Michelin aircraft
featured a 200-horsepower engine, a total weight of 800 kg, and a fl ight
speed of 125 km/hr.
Michelin setting new standards…
…After developing radials for virtually every type
of ground transportation, Michelin was the fi rst
to produce radial aviation tires in 1981, with the
initial application on the Mirage fi ghter jet. Soon
after, in 1983, Michelin developed the fi rst radial
for a commercial aircraft, the Airbus A300. The
radial aircraft tire has been widely acknowledged for its benefi ts by the
aviation industry as proven by its increasing prevalence on new aircraft.

…Michelin is the exclusive tire supplier of the NASA Space Shuttle.
