AIRPLANE CONDITION MONITORING SYSTEM - ADJUSTMENT/TEST

1. General_______
A. The Airplane Condition Monitoring System (ACMS) contains a operational test of the Quick Access Recorder (QAR). To test all of the ACMS, do the Flight Data Recorder System Test (AMM 31-31-00) and this operational test.

A. General
(1) The operational test make sure the QAR works properly. No test equipment is necessary.

Supply electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).

Make sure these circuit breakers on the overhead circuit breaker panel, P11, are closed:

11J7, FLIGHT RECORDER AC
(b)
11J8, FLIGHT RECORDER DC
(c)
11J34, ACMS
E. Quick Access Recorder (QAR) Test
S 015-025
(1) At the E3-3 rack of the main equipment center, open the access door of the QAR.

(2) S 865-043Insert the tape cartridge to the QAR.
(3) S 705-044Make sure the light indicator on the QAR comes on.
(4) S 015-045Remove the tape cartridge if no longer required.
(5) S 865-024Remove electrical power if it is no longer necessary (AMM 24-22-00/201).
