LANDING GEAR HYDRAULIC SYSTEM FILLING
SERVICING
1. LEVEL CHECK AND ELECTROHYDRAULIC GENERATOR FILLING (Figure 301)
A. Tools and consumable materials
- Hydraulic fluid (TB 02-001)
- Funnel
B. Procedure
NOTE : Fill the electrohydraulic generator with new hydraulic fluid (TB 02-001).
1) Remove the rear bench seatpan - refer to 25-12-00, and inspection door 238 (5) - refer to 06-30-00.
2) Unscrew and remove gage (2).
3) Make sure the level of hydraulic fluid (TB 02-001) is correct.
NOTE : "Maxi" notch (7) located on gage (2) corresponds to the maximum quantity of hydraulic fluid.
4) If necessary, unscrew air vent screw (3) of electrohydraulic generator (1) and fill or top up with hydraulic fluid (TB 02-001) using a funnel.
5) If unscrewed, screw air vent screw (3) of electrohydraulic generator (1).
6) Inspect 0-ring (6) for correct condition, replace if necessary.
7) Install gage (2).
8) Make sure all the tools and materials are removed and the work area is clean and free from debris.
9) Install inspection door 238 (5) and the rear bench seatpan - refer to 25-12-00.
2. LANDING GEAR HYDRAULIC SYSTEM FILLING (Figure 301)
A. Tools and consumable materials
- Hydraulic fluid (TB 02-001)
- Ground power unit
B. Procedure
1) Remove the rear bench seatpan - refer to 25-12-00, and inspection door 238 (5) - refer to 06-30-00.
2) Jack up the aircraft - refer to 07-10-00.
3) Remove rear cowling under hull 218A.
4) Drain the landing gear hydraulic system - refer to 12-13-04.
5) Fill electrohydraulic generator (1) - refer to Paragraph 1. Do not install gage (2) and do not screw air vent screw (3).
NOTE : Fill until the level of hydraulic fluid (TB 02-001) comes 0.19 in (5 mm) below the "maxi" notch of the gage.
6) For the aircraft equipped with a ground power receptacle, connect the ground power unit - refer to 24-40-00.

7) Close main switch-breaker.
WARNING : PRIOR TO ANY LANDING GEAR OPERATION, MAKE SURE THE LANDING GEAR AREA IS CLEAR.
CAUTION : AFTER EACH LANDING GEAR MANEUVER, MAKE SURE THE LEVEL OF HYDRAULIC FLUID IN THE ELECTROHYDRAULIC GENERATOR IS CORRECT. TOP UP IF NECESSARY.
8) Operate the landing gears - refer to 32-30-00. After each landing gear maneuver, make sure the level of hydraulic fluid (TB 02-001) in the electrohydraulic generator is correct. Top up if necessary - refer to Paragraph 1.
NOTE : Keep the hydraulic fluid level at the "maxi" notch of the gage.
9) Operate the landing gears until the level of hydraulic fluid (TB 02-001) in the electrohydraulic generator is stabilized.
10) Open main switch-breaker.
