% The SENS button (4) selects either high or low sensitivity as indicated by the HI or LO LED % being lit. Low sensitivity is used on ILS approaches while high sensitivity allows operation over % airway markers or to get an earlier indication of nearing the outer marker during an approach.
% The marker audio is selected initially by pressing the MKR/MUTE button (2). If no marker % beacon signal is being received, then pressing again will deselect the marker audio.

Trouble-Shooting
1. General
The table below lists the defects you could have with the audio integrating system and the marker beacon receiver system. If you have the trouble detailed in the Trouble column read across to the Possible Cause column. Then do the repair given in the Repair column.

No voice modulation when transmitting from co-pilot's side on head-set. Pilot's side OK.  Faulty head-set. Open mic audio line. Faulty intercom or audio panel.  Replace head-set. Do a test of the mic audio wiring. Refer to Chapter 92 for the wiring diagrams. Replace the intercom or audio panel.

No audio signal in head-set.  Faulty head-set. Faulty head-set socket. Defective wiring between audio panel and head-set socket. Faulty audio panel.  Replace head-set. Replace head-set socket. Do a continuity test of the related wires. Replace defective wires. Repair or replace audio panel.
