CDS -- PFD - ATTITUDE INDICATIONS General
The attitude indication shows in the center of the primary flight display (PFD) area. It shows the pitch and the roll attitude of the airplane. Pitch and roll data comes from the onside air data inertial reference system (ADIRS). These are the other indications that can show in the attitude area:
-Flight director commands
-Traffic alert and collision avoidance system
(TCAS) resolution advisories
-Slip/skid
-Pitch limit
-Flight path vector.
Pitch and Roll Indications
Pitch attitude shows by a white horizon line and pitch indices that have graduations in 2.5 degree increments.
Roll attitude shows by a roll pointer against a white fixed scale at the top of the attitude indication. When roll attitude is more than 35 degrees, the roll pointer fills and is amber in color. It changes back to normal when the roll attitude is less than 32 degrees.
Flight Director Commands
The flight director command bars show when the flight director is on. The command bars are magenta in color and are calculated in the DFCS flight control computers.

TCAS Resolution Advisories
When there is a traffic conflict, CDS shows TCAS resolution advisories (RA) from the TCAS computer on the attitude indication. The RA symbology gives visual cues and guidance to the flight crew. They are red in color.
Slip/Skid Indication
The slip/skid indication shows the lateral acceleration of the airplane. It shows as a white rectangular box below the roll pointer. If there is no lateral acceleration, the roll pointer and slip/skid indication align. The ADIRUs calculate the lateral acceleration.
The slip/skid indication fills with white when the lateral acceleration is more than 0.1g. If the roll attitude is more than 35 degrees, and the lateral acceleration is more than 0.1g, the slip/skid indication fill changes to amber.
Pitch Limit Indication
The pitch limit indication (PLI) shows the maximum pitch up limit before the start of the stick shakers. It shows as an eyebrow symbol and is amber in color. The stall management yaw dampers (SMYD) calculate PLI.
The pitch limit indication shows when flaps are not up.

CDS -- PFD - ATTITUDE INDICATIONS
When the flaps are up, the pitch limit indication shows if the airspeed goes near the minimum operating speed (stall speed).
Flight Path Vector Indication
The flight path vector (FPV) indication shows when you select FPV on the EFIS control panel. The indication shows the motion of the airplane in relation to the horizon and the airplane heading. The ADIRUs calculate FPV. It is white in color.
The FPV shows as dim white when the flight directors (F/D) or TCAS resolution advisories (RA) are in view. If there are no F/Ds or TCAS RAs, then the FPV symbol is bright white.
Comparator Function Annunciations
The comparator function annunciations are PITCH and ROLL. These annunciations show if the CDS calculates a difference of more than five degrees between the captain and first officer pitch or roll display values. They are amber in color.

CDS -- PFD - ALTITUDE INDICATIONS Altitude Indication
The altitude indication on the primary flight display (PFD) shows the barometric altitude and other altitude related data from other airplane systems.
Altitude Tape and Current Altitude
The altitude tape shows the barometric altitude from the air data reference section of the onside ADIRU on a moving scale. It can show a range of 806 feet with indices every 100 feet and numerical readouts every 200 feet.
Current altitude shows as a digital readout in the center of the altitude tape. The total range of this display is -100 feet to 50000 feet.
Normally, the background color of the altitude tape is gray. If you select QFE on the FMCS takeoff or approach reference pages, the tape background color is green.
Altitude Disagree Message
If the captain and first officer altitudes are different by more than 200 feet, the amber ALT DISAGREE message shows at the bottom of the two altitude tapes.
