Make sure the applicable engine ignition 1 and ignition 2 circuit breakers on the main power distribution panel, P6, are closed. For selection of ignition system, refer to 74-31-00, Engine Ignition Control - Description and Operation.

Supply electrical power. For electrical power, refer to 24-22-00, Manual Control - Maintenance Practices.
(4)
Supply pneumatic power. For pneumatic power, refer to 36-00-00, Pneumatic System - Maintenance Practices.
(5)
For manual start, start the engine as follows:
(a)
Pull the applicable engine START switch to the "ON" position.
(b)
Make sure the engine START light comes on.
(c)
Make sure the N2 indication shows N2 rpm increase.
(d)
Put the FUEL CONTROL switch to the RUN position at 15 %N2.
(6)
For automatic start, start the engine by setting the switches that follow in the sequence of the list below:
(a)
Set the applicable ENGINE AUTOSTART switch to the "ON" position.
(b)
Pull the applicable engine START switch to the "ON" position.
(c)
Make sure the engine START light comes on.
(d)
Put the FUEL CONTROL switch to the RUN position.
(7)
Make sure the engine START switch automatically releases at
approximately 50 %N2, and the engine START light goes off.
