(1) Prepare to install the filter.
(a)
Make sure the filter screen has no damage and no separation from the sleeve. 1) Replace the filter if you find these conditions.
(b)
Make sure the filter screen has no contamination. 1) If you find contamination, clean the filter.

(2) Do these steps to install the filter (Fig. 201):
(a) Put the filter in the boss on the case of the start valve.
(b) Lubricate the new packing with the lubricant.
(c) Install the packing on the tube.
(d) Put the bushing end of the tube into the top mounting hole on
the start valve.
(e) Lubricate the threads of the tube nut with the antiseize
compound.
(f) Install the nut in the filter boss on the start valve.
(g) Tighten the nut.
(h) Remove all the unwanted compound.

(3) Close the core cowl panels (AMM 71-11-06/201).

(4) Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tag and close this circuit breaker on the P6
main power distribution panel.
