(2) Supply electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).

(3) Release the pressure in the pneumatic system as follows: (a) Put the applicable NACELLE ANTI-ICE VALVE switch on the overhead panel, P5, to the "on" position. (b) Push the ECS switch on the select panel for the EICAS display. (c) Monitor the ENG DUCT PRESSURE on the auxiliary EICAS display. 1) When the pressure decreases to 0 psig, put the applicable NACELLE ANTI-ICE VALVE switch to the "off" position.

Open the core cowl panels (AMM 71-11-06/201).

Do these steps to remove the start valve (Fig. 401):
(a) Disconnect the electrical connector DV351 (1) from the start valve (2).

(b)
Remove the nut (6), washer (7), screw (8) and bonding jumper
(9) from the start valve (2) flange.
(c)
Do these steps to remove the interconnect duct (5), if necessary: 1) While you hold the interconnect duct (5), remove the
couplings (3). 2) Move the interconnect duct (5) up and out to remove it from the engine.
(d)
Remove the seal(s) (4).
(e)
Remove the coupling (3) that holds the start valve (2) to the starter duct.
(f)
Remove the coupling (6) that holds the start valve (2) to the starter duct.
(g)
Remove the start valve from the engine.
(h)
Remove the seal (4).
(i)
Install the dust caps on the start valve (2), duct, and starter openings.
