C.  Gain access to valve through access panel No. 1 and rib access openings in ribs installed at WBL 92.50 and 114 (Ref 28-11-11 R/I).
4.  Remove Fuel Boost Pump Bypass Valve (Airplanes with boost pump bypass valve with valve lock actuating arm) (Fig. 401)
A.  Remove fuel outlet line attaching bolts.
B.  Remove cotter pin from clevis pin of lock mechanism, remove washer and clevis pin.
C.  Disconnect fuel inlet line from bypass valve.
D.  Detach bonding strap and disconnect fuel inlet line at other end.
E.  Remove clamp from fuel inlet line and lift fuel line clear of valve.
F.  Remove valve mounting bolts and lift valve free.
5.  Remove Fuel Boost Pump Bypass Valve (Type I) (ALL EXCEPT airplanes with boost pump bypass valve with valve lock actuating arm) (Fig. 401)
A.  Remove bonding strap from inlet fuel line.
B.  Disconnect couplings at both ends of inlet fuel line and remove line.
C.  Remove bypass valve clamp and remove bypass valve.
6.  Remove Fuel Boost Pump Bypass Valve (Type II) (ALL EXCEPT airplanes with boost pump bypass valve with valve lock actuating arm)
A.  Remove bolt, nut, and washer attaching valve bonding jumper to tube.
B.  Disconnect coupling from valve. Discard O-ring.
C.  Remove bolts, nuts, and washers attaching valve to tubing flange. Retain bonding jumper for installation.
D.  Remove valve. Discard O-ring.

7.  Remove Fuel Boost Pump Bypass Check Valve (ALL EXCEPT airplanes with boost pump bypass valve with valve lock actuating arm) (Fig. 401)
A.  Remove bonding straps from bypass check valve, and bypass check valve outlet line.
B.  Disconnect couplings at both ends of bypass check valve outlet line and remove line.
C.  While holding bypass check valve, disconnect coupling above bypass check valve and remove valve.
8.  Install Fuel Boost Pump Bypass Valve (Airplanes with boost pump bypass valve with valve lock actuating arm) (Fig. 401)
A.  Clean O-ring groove in machined surfaces of valve and fuel outlet line flange with naphtha and wipe dry with lint-free cloth.
B.  Install new O-ring, lightly lubricated with fuel, in groove.
C.  Position bypass valve on supports and install valve mounting bolts.
D.  Install fuel outlet line attaching bolts.
E.  Position fuel inlet line and install clamp, do not tighten clamp.
F.  Connect fuel inlet line to bypass valve.
G.  Connect other end of fuel inlet line. Attach bonding strap. 
H.  Check electrical bond between fuel inlet line and airplane structure per 20-22-01 I/C.
Resistance shall not exceed 0.010 ohm.

I.  Tighten fuel inlet line clamp.
J.  Install clevis pin in lock mechanism, install washer and cotter pin.
K.  Install fuel tank access panel (Ref 28-11-11 R/I).
9.  Install Fuel Boost Pump Bypass Valve (Type I) (ALL EXCEPT airplanes with boost pump bypass valve with valve lock actuating arm) (Fig. 401)
A.  Clean machined surfaces of valve and fuel inlet line flanges with naphtha and wipe with lint-free cloth.
B.  Install new O-rings, lightly lubricated with fuel.
C.  Position boost pump bypass valve and install bypass valve clamp.
D.  Position inlet fuel line and tighten couplings at both ends.
E.  Install bonding strap on inlet fuel line.
F.  Check electrical bond between fuel inlet line and airplane structure per 20-22-01 I/C.
Resistance shall not exceed 0.010 ohm.

G.  Install fuel tank access panel (Ref 28-11-11 R/I).
10  Install Fuel Boost Pump Bypass Valve (Type II) (ALL EXCEPT airplanes with boost pump bypass valve with valve lock actuating arm)

A.  Install new O-ring, lightly lubricated with fuel, between valve and tubing flange and place valve in position.
NOTE: Valve and tubing flanges have offset hole to ensure correct positioning.
B.  Install new O-ring, lightly lubricated with fuel, in coupling and connect coupling to valve. Do not tighten.
C.  Place bonding jumper in position. Install bolts, washers, and nuts attaching valve and bonding jumper to flange. Tighten bolts.
D.  Tighten and lockwire coupling.
E.  Attach bonding jumper to clamp across valve using bolt, nut, and washers.
F.  Check electrical bond across jumper per 20-22-01 I/C. Resistance shall not exceed 0.010 ohm.
G.  Install fuel tank access panel (Ref 28-11-11 R/I).
