THRUST LEVER POSITION TRANSMITTER - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
EFFECTIVITY
AS N730AS, N740AS, N742AS SA ZS-SIA and on GJ B-2509 and B-2510
1.  General
A.  One thrust lever position transmitter (LVDT) is installed on each engine. The unit is located on the left side of the engine and installed between the engine mainframe and the engine cross-shaft crank. Access is provided by opening the left cowl panel.
2.  Remove position Transmitter (LVDT) (Fig. 401)
A.  Open autothrottle system ac and dc circuit breakers on P6 panel.
B.  Open left cowl panel on applicable engine (Ref 71-11-11).
C.  Disconnect position transmitter electrical connector and cable supports as applicable.
D.  Remove bolt, spacer, washer(s) and nut (on cross-shaft crank end only) from each end of LVDT.
NOTE:  Bolt, spacer, and washers must be reinstalled in same location to provide correct bearing spacing.
E.  Remove LVDT, note electrical cable orientation.
3.  Install Position Transmitter (LVDT) (Fig. 401)
