(a)  
The autothrottle disengages (A/T arm switch drops).

(b)  
The CRT indicates TESTING COMPLETE.

Terminate the A/T BITE test by paging away from TEST PAGE 4-(X).

Autothrottle  Failed PDC or failed  Check results of BITE test  Replace appropriate EPR 
annunciator shows double of  EPR signal(transmitter)  3 - fail  transmitter annunciation 
ARM and SPEED or ARM and EPR  D -fail and/or 3 - pass  Replace PDC. If fault persists, replace LH TAT 
PROBE. 
If unable to enter BITE test  Replace PDC

Autothrottle  Slipping clutch  Measure manual force and  Replace Boeing clutch 
system drives  (Boeing)  forces to stop lever and  assembly if all three of 
one thrust lever  restrain lever. (At knob  the following conditions

Torque Limiter Switch  On Smiths servo-
(Smiths)  mechanism, replace 
NOTE: The clutch limiter switch in the Smith's mechanism is controlled by A/T software in addition to  torque limiter switch (Ref 22-31-91). If not corrected, replace torque switch mechanism (Ref 76-11-92).

A.  General
(1)  During operations with intermixed engines, the autothrottle system must be deactivated because the system is not designed to accommodate the differing target EPR's for each engine model simultaneously.
