The housing air inlet, protected by a screen, is located on the R.H. side fuselage skin, forward of frame C6. The air outlet is located on frame C6.
C. B61 condenser fan
The B61 condenser fan ensures the circulation of outside air through the condenser.
The fan, of the axial vane type, is driven by a 28 VDC electric motor and provides approximately a flow of 580 C.F.M. at approximately 10000 RPM.
The B61 condenser fan is controlled by S80 switch set to "AIR COND".
It is installed on the rear side of frame C6 and connected by a discharge duct to a screened air outlet located under the fuselage aft of frame C7.
The B61 condenser fan is electrically supplied by G2 alternator via the K28 relay, located on the airtight housing, and protected by CB105 "AIR COND." circuit breaker.
D. Evaporator
The evaporator cools and dries the cabin air.
It is manufactured from copper tubes and has aluminium fins. It includes a foam filter at its air inlet.
The evaporator receives the liquid refrigerant delivered by the condenser. The refrigerant expands and cools while flowing through the evaporator. The expansion rate is regulated by a thermal expansion valve which is controlled by a temperature sensor located at the outlet of the evaporator. The control system ensures optimum performance.

The evaporator is also equipped with the S86 thermostat which cuts off the electrical power supply to the L40 compressor in case of risks of icing.

The evaporator is installed on the condenser airtight housing and connected to frame C6 with a flexible duct.
E. B60 evaporator fan
The B60 evaporator fan ensures cabin air circulation, through the evaporator and inside the distribution duct, to the front and rear air outlets.
The fan, of centrifugal type, is driven by a 28 VDC dual speed electric motor and provides a 250 C.F.M. maximum flow.
The evaporator fan is secured to the rear fuselage top skin between frame C6 and frame C7.
It is controlled by the S80 switch, set to "AIR COND." or "FAN", and the S81 switch, set to "HI-FAN" or "LO-FAN".
The B60 evaporator fan is electrically supplied by G2 alternator and protected by CB107 "EVAP. FAN" and CB105 "AIR COND." circuit breakers.

F. Receiver drier
The receiver drier absorbs moisture and entraps any foreign particles contained in the refrigerant. It consists of :
- an aluminium alloy body,
- a head equipped with the sight glass and inlet and outlet ports,
- an overpressure relief valve,
- a pick-up tube,
- a strainer,
- dessicant bags.
An overpressure relief valve ensuring system safety in case of S99 binary pressure switch malfunction is installed in the receiver drier head.
