A. Description
(1)
This task is for these weather radar system observed faults:
(a)
Tilt Code "-2" Radio Altitude -Left.
(b)
Tilt Code "+2" Radio Altitude -Right.
(2)
The weather radar has found a problem with the data sent from the radio altimeters.
B. Possible Causes
(1)
Low range radio altimeter (LRRA), M1735 (left LRRA) or M1736 (right LRRA).
(2)
Wiring.
(3)
Weather radar receiver/transmitter, M101.
SIL 014, 015, 020
(4) Left (Right) Weather radar receiver/transmitter, M101 (M460).
SIL ALL

E. Initial Evaluation
(1)
Do the right or left (LRRA) depend on the titl code.
(2)
Do this task: Weather Radar (WXR) System -Operational Test, AMM TASK 34-43-00-710-802-001 or Weather Radar (WXR) System -Operational Test, AMM TASK 34-43-00-710-803-002.

(a)
If the tilt code does not show then there was an intermittent fault.
(b)
If the tilt code shows then do the Fault Isolation Procedure below.
F. Fault Isolation Procedure
(1) Replace the left LRRA, applicable to tilt code ‘‘-2’’. To replace it,
These are the tasks:
*
Low Range Radio Altimeter (LRRA) Receiver/Transmitter (R/T) Removal, AMM TASK 34-33-21-000-801
*
Low Range Radio Altimeter (LRRA) Receiver/Transmitter (R/T) Installation, AMM TASK 34-33-21-400-801
(a) Do this task: Weather Radar (WXR) System -Operational Test, AMM TASK 34-43-00-710-802-001 or Weather Radar (WXR) System -Operational Test, AMM TASK 34-43-00-710-803-002.
1) If the tilt code does not show then you corrected the fault.
2) If the tilt code shows then continue.
(2) Replace the right LRRA, applicable to tilt code ‘‘+2’’.
(3) Do this check of the wiring between the left LRRA and the weather radar receiver/transmitter, applicable to tilt code ‘‘-2’’:
