If the maintenance message shows, then do the Fault Isolation Procedure below.
F. Fault Isolation Procedure
(1) Do this check of the weather radar receiver/transmitter cooling system:
(a)
Select WXR ON on the EFIS control panel.
(b)
If the fan comes on, then do these steps: 1) Remove the weather radar receiver/transmitter. To remove it, do this task: Weather Radar Receiver/Transmitter Removal, AMM TASK 34-43-41-000-801.
2) Look for any objects or dust that can stop the weather radar receiver/transmitter air flow. a) Remove the unwanted objects that stop the air flow.
SIL 001-003
b) Clean the air filter. To clean the filter, do this task: Weather Radar R/T Mount Filter Cleaning, AMM TASK 34-43-09-100-801

1) If the weather radar operational test passes, then you corrected the fault.
SIL 014, 015, 020
(2) Do this check of the Left (Right) weather radar receiver/transmitter cooling systems:
(a)
Select WXR ON on the EFIS control panels.
(b)
If the fans come on, then do these steps: 1) Remove the Left (Right) weather radar receiver/transmitter. To remove it, do this task: Weather Radar Receiver/Transmitter Removal, AMM TASK 34-43-41-000-801.
2) Look for any objects or dust that can stop the Left (Right) weather radar receiver/ transmitter air flows. a) Remove the unwanted objects that stop the air flows.
3) Re-install the Left (Right) weather radar receiver/transmitter. To install it, do this task: Weather Radar Receiver/Transmitter Installation, AMM TASK 34-43-41-400-801.
(c) If the fan does not come on, then replace the Left (Right) weather radar receiver/transmitter mount, M103 (M2673).
These are the tasks:
*
Weather Radar Receiver/Transmitter Mount Removal, AMM TASK 34-43-31-000-801
