 E. Test the Thrust Management System

Set the ELEC ENG CONTROL switches on the P5 panel to on. This energizes the EEC power.

Set the ENG LIMITER switches on the P5 panel to on.

Set the EEC ground test switches below the EEC computers in the main equipment center to on.

 WARNING: THIS TEST USES MOVEMENT OF THRUST LEVERS AND
_______ CAN CAUSE AIRPLANE MOVEMENT IF ENGINES ARE ON OR SPOILER/SPEEDBRAKE MOVEMENT IF PRESSURE TO THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEMS IS ON. REFER TO THE SPOILER/SPEEDBRAKE DEACTIVATION PROCEDURE (AMM 27-61-00/201). ACCIDENTAL ENGINE OPERATION OR SPOILER/SPEEDBRAKE MOVEMENT CAN CAUSE BAD INJURY TO PERSONS.
 (4)  
Do the deactivation procedure for the spoilers (AMM 27-61-00/201) or move all persons and equipment away from the spoilers.

 (5)  
Make sure the engines are not on.
