A. Test Do the operational test of the TPIS (Ref. AMM TASK 32-49-00-710-001).
4. Fault Isolation

A. If the operationnal test does not give a maintenance message:
- do a check of ROTATING MECH-TPIS MLG, WHEEL 1 (7GV), ROTATING MECH-TPIS MLG, WHEEL 2 (9GV), ROTATING MECH-TPIS MLG, WHEEL 3 (6GV), ROTATING MECH-TPIS MLG, WHEEL 4 (8GV), ROTATING MECH-TPIS NLG, WHEEL 2 (5GV), ROTATING MECH-TPIS NLG, WHEEL 1 (4GV) to make sure that the mechanisms are in correct condition and move freely.
(1) If the operational test gives the maintenance message CHECK TPIU/ROTATING MECH WIRING:
- replace the DETECTOR UNIT-TPIS (2GV) (Ref. AMM TASK 32-49-34-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 32-49-34-400-001).

- do a check and repair the wiring from the TPIS (2GV) to the wheel 1 rotating mechanism (7GV) pins AA/1A, 1B to pins B/A, B (Ref. ASM 32-49/01)
- do a check and repair the wiring from the TPIS (2GV) to the wheel 2 rotating mechanism (9GV) pins AA/2A, 2B to pins B/A, B (Ref. ASM 32-49/01)
- do a check and repair the wiring from the TPIS (2GV) to the wheel 3 rotating mechanism (6GV) pins AA/3A, 3B to pins B/A, B (Ref. ASM 32-49/01)
- do a check and repair the wiring from the TPIS (2GV) to the wheel 4 rotating mechanism (8GV) pins AA/4A, 4B to pins B/A, B (Ref. ASM 32-49/01)
- do a check and repair the wiring from the TPIS (2GV) to the wheel 9 rotating mechanism (5GV) pins AA/9A, 9B to pins A/A, B (Ref. ASM 32-49/01)
- do a check and repair the wiring from the TPIS (2GV) to the wheel 10 rotating mechanism (4GV) pins AA/10A, 10B to pins A/A, B (Ref. ASM 32-49/01).
B. Test
(1) Do the test given in Para. 3.A.
TIRE PRESSURE INDICATING SYSTEM (TPIS) - TASK SUPPORTING DATA

1. Trouble Shooting Tire Pressure Transducer and Rotating Mechanism Faults
_______________________________________________________________________
A. Procedure
(1) The test equipment used is the Line Tester P/N 4306065051
(2) Preparation for the Test
(a) Remove the protection cover of the related rotating mechanism:
- for the NLG wheels (Ref. AMM TASK 32-49-15-000-001)
- for the MLG wheels (Ref. AMM TASK 32-49-16-000-005).
(b) Disconnect the electrical connector (1) of the pressure transducer from the rotating mechanism (2). (Ref. Fig. 301)
(c) Measure the tire pressure of the applicable wheel with a pressure gage and record the value.
(3) Test of a pressure transducer
(Ref. Fig. 301, 302)
NOTE : If the result of one of these tests is not satisfactory,
____ replace the related pressure transducer:
- (Ref. AMM TASK 32-49-15-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 32-49-15-400-001) for the NLG wheel
- (Ref. AMM TASK 32-49-16-000-005) and (Ref. AMM TASK 32-49-16-400-005) for the MLG wheel
(a) Connect the electrical connector (1) to the plug P1 of the Line Tester.
(b) Do the check of the pressure (PR)

On the Line Tester:
- set the switch C1 to PRESSURE
- push on the pushbutton PB1 On the display of the Line Tester:
- make sure that the tire pressure indication agrees with the pressure you measured with the gage with a tolerance of plus or minus 3 PSI
