R (d) Install a new O-ring (90) in the related groove of the fuel filter cover (40), soak the new O-ring with engine fuel and lubricate it with vaseline (Material No. CP5070).
(e) Gently install the fuel filter element (20) into the filter cover (40).
(f) Visually inspect through the cartridge if the packing O-ring (30) has not escaped from its groove and check if the filter element does not move.
(g) Apply graphite grease (Material No. CP2101) on the 5 D-bolt (300) threads, flat washers (330), nuts (320) (face in contact with flat washer) and on the bolt (350) thread.
(h) Carefully install the filter element cartridge (20) and the cover (40) into the gear housing filter.
CAUTION : DO NOT USE BOLTS TO HELP COVER FILTER ENGAGEMENT._______ DAMAGE ON INSERT WILL OCCUR. A WOOD OR PLASTIC HAMMER MAY HELP TO ENGAGE THE COVER IF NECESSARY.

NOTE : Adjust the tabs of the filter element cartridge (20) to____ the ribs of the gear housing filter.

(i) Install flat washers (330) and nuts (320).
(j) Ensure that the nuts (320) screw freely by hand, as follows:
NOTE : The use of tools is not allowed.____
1_ Rotate each nut by at least two complete turns. If the attaching part is in good condition, it should not be possible to fully hand tighten the nut.
(k) Install the flat washer (340) and the bolt (350).
NOTE : Only one bolt is used in the hole adjacent to the____ nameplate.
(l) Ensure that the bolt engages freely by hand, as follows:

_ by at least two turns. If the insert is in good condition, it should not be possible to fully hand tighten the bolt.
(m) TORQUE the nuts (320) and the bolt (350) to between 70 and 80 lbf.in (0.79 and 0.90 m.daN).
R (n) Soak a new O-ring (80) with engine fuel and lubricate it with vaseline (Material No. CP5070), and install the O-ring on the drain plug (70).
(o) Lightly lubricate the drain plug thread (70) with engine fuel. Install and TORQUE the drain plug (70) to between 45 and 55 lbf.in (0.50 and 0.62 m.daN). Safety with corrosion resistant steel lockwire 0.8 mm DIA (Material No. CP8001) or with corrosion resistant steel lockwire 0.8 mm DIA (Material No. CP8002).

(4) Remove the warning notice(s).
