A. Get Access
(1) Remove the core nozzle (Ref. TASK 78-11-11-000-041).
(2) Remove the center body (Ref. TASK 78-11-12-000-041).
4. Procedure

A. Replacement of the thermal insulation blankets. CAUTION : THE REPLACEMENT OF THE THERMAL INSULATION BLANKETS (ITEM 150
_______ ONLY) MUST NOT BE PERFORMED IN LINE DUE TO THEIR SPECIFIC SHAPE. THE REMOVAL OF THERMAL INSULATION BLANKETS (ITEM 150) CAN BE PERFORMED DURING SHOP VISIT WHEN THE SEAL COVER IS REMOVED.
(1) Replacement (for item 130 and 140 only).
(a) Remove the attachment bolts on rear flange of the thermal insulation blanket.
After SB 72-247
(b) Remove the attachment bolts and washers on rear flange of the thermal insulation blanket.
END of SB 72-247
(c) Remove the blanket by lifting the rear flange, then pull and twisting it.
(d) Install the new thermal insulation blanket. Take care to engage front edge inside seal cover.
(e) Apply a thin layer of graphite grease (Material No. CP2101) on the bolts.

(f) Install the two bolts securing the blanket. After SB 72-247
(g) Install the two washers and two bolts securing the blanket. END of SB 72-247
(h) TORQUE the bolts to between 100 and 110 lbf.in (1.13 and 1.24 m.daN).
5. Close-up

(2) Install the core nozzle (Ref. TASK 78-11-11-400-041).
