R Subtask 79-00-00-280-055

R D. EMCD system functional check.
R (Ref. Fig. 606/TASK 79-00-00-991-308)

R (1) Disconnect the ECMD connector from the interface connector.

R (2) Do the EMCD functional check as follow:

R (a) Set Megohmmeter 100 Mohms to the ohm scale.

R (b) Bridge the gap between the 2 magnet poles with a jumper wire or
R any metallic piece.

R (c) Do a check of continuity check between pin 1 and 2 of the EMCD
R connector.

R (3) If there is not continuity:

R (a) Replace ECMD (Ref. TASK 79-21-50-000-001) (Ref. TASK 79-21-50-R 400-001).

R (4) If there is continuity:

R (a) Re-install EMCD into its housing located on the lubrication unit
R (see step H. Install the EMCD).

R (b) Do the step Visual indicator functional check

R (1) DPM electrical harness from the connector B receptacle on the visual
R indicator.

R (2) Do a check of the visual indicator functional as follow:

R (a) Close the circuit between pin 2 and 3 of the connector B
R receptacle with a metallic jumper for a minimum of 1 second.

R (b) Do a visual inspection of the visual indicator red pop out, it
R must extend (extension time < 1 second).

R (3) If the red pop out is not extend:

R (a) De-Energize the Aircraft Electrical Circuits from the External
R Power (Ref. TASK 24-41-00-862-002)

R (b) Replace the visual indicator (Ref. TASK 79-21-30-000-001)
R (Ref. TASK 79-21-30-400-001).

R (4) If the red pop out is extend:

R (a) De-Energize the Aircraft Electrical Circuits from the External
R Power (Ref. TASK 24-41-00-862-002).

R (b) Do the resetting of the visual indicator (Ref. TASK 79-21-30-440-R 001).

R (c) Do the step DPM electrical harness check.

 (1) DPM electrical harness from the connector B receptacle on the visual indicator.

 (2) Do a check of the visual indicator functional as follow:

 (a) Close the circuit between pin 2 and 3 of the connector B receptacle with a metallic jumper for a minimum of 45 seconds.

 (b) Do a visual inspection of the visual indicator red pop out, it must extend (extension time from 10 to 45 seconds).

 

 (3) If the red pop out is not extend:

 (a) De-Energize the Aircraft Electrical Circuits from the External Power (Ref. TASK 24-41-00-862-002)

 (b) Replace the visual indicator (Ref. TASK 79-21-30-000-001) (Ref. TASK 79-21-30-400-001).

 

 (4) If the red pop out is extend:

 (a) De-Energize the Aircraft Electrical Circuits from the External Power (Ref. TASK 24-41-00-862-002).

 (b) Do the resetting of the visual indicator (Ref. TASK 79-21-30-440-001).

 (c) Do the step DPM electrical harness check.

 G. DPM electrical harness check
 (Ref. Fig. 605/TASK 79-00-00-991-307)

 (1) Do a check of continuity of the DPM electrical harness as follows:
 (a) Set a megohmmeter to the ohm scale.

 (b) Do a continuity check between: . pin 1 of DPM connector and pin 3 of INDCT-VIS connector . pin 2 of DPM connector and pin 2 of INDCT-VIS connector

 1 If there are not continuity:

_ a Replace the DPM electrical harness (Ref. TASK 79-21-30-000-
_ 002) (Ref. TASK 79-21-30-000-002).
 2 If there are continuity:
_ a Reconnect the DPM electrical harness connectors on the
_ visual indicator and the EMCD.
