(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.

NOTE : If the EMCD is removed for inspection only, it is not necessary to

disconnect the lead connector.
(1) Remove the Electrical Master Chip Detector (EMCD) as follow:
(a) At the same time, push and turn the EMCD plug one quarter of a turn counterclockwise.
