(a) This test checks continuity through the No. 4 bearing scavenge oil proximity switch wire bundle.

(a)
Multimeter -Fluke 8020 or equivalent
(b)
Strap Wrench
1) Balmar 76-101
2) Glenair TG-70
(3)
Test the No. 4 bearing compartment scavenge oil valve position proximity switch.
(a)
Disconnect connector D5574 from the No. 4 bearing scavenge oil valve proximity switch.
(b)
Verify continuity between pin 11 of connector D1074P and pin 1 of connector D5574.
(c)
Verify continuity between pin 3 of connector D1074P and pin 2 of connector D5574.
(d)
Connect connector D5574 to the No. 4 bearing scavenge oil valve proximity switch.
CAUTION: USE THE TORQUE WRENCH SETTINGS TO GET THE SPECIFIED TORQUE. IF THE TORQUE IS INCORRECT, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE CONNECTORS AND DECREASE THE LIGHTNING PROTECTION FOR WIRES.
(e) Tighten connector coupling nut until it is tight and color band on receptacle is covered.
F. Low Oil Differential Pressure Switch Test

General
(a) This test makes sure the low oil differential pressure switch operates correctly.

Equipment
(a)
Multimeter -Fluke 8020 or equivalent

(3) Test the low oil differential pressure switch.
(a)
Verify continuity between pin 3 of connector D1082P and ground.
(b)
Disconnect the oil pressure sensing line from the HI port of the oil pressure switch.
(c)
Connect the regulated air pressure supply to the HI port of the oil pressure switch.
(d)
Monitor continuity between pin 3 of connector D1082P and ground. 1) Increase the port pressure at a rate of 10 psi/second max. until an open circuit occurs
between pin 3 of connector D1082P and ground. 2) Check that the port pressure is 80 psig max. when the open circuit occurs. 3) Increase the port pressure at a rate of 10 psi/second max. to 95 ± 5 psig.
(e)
Monitor the circuit for continuity between pin 3 of connector D1082P and ground. 1) Reduce the port pressure at a rate of 10 psi/second max. until continuity exists between
pin 3 of connector D1082P and ground. 2) Check that the port pressure is 70 ± 4 psig when continuity is established. 3) Reduce the port pressure to zero at a rate of 10 psi/second max. 4) Verify that continuity between pin 3 of connector D1082P and ground remains as the
pressure drops to zero.
(f)
Disconnect the regulated air pressure supply from the switch.
(g)
Connect the oil pressure sensing line to the HI port of the oil pressure switch.
