E. Procedure to Remove the Actuator

Disconnect the hydraulic lines from the actuator.

Install plugs in the hydraulic lines and fittings.

Install the spring extender and extend the spring.

Remove the bolt to disconnect the rod end of the actuator from the input crank (View B-B).

Fill the actuator with hydraulic fluid.

(2) S 434-013Install the bolt, bushing, washers, and nut to connect the rod end of the actuator to the input crank (View A-A).
(3) S 424-014Install the bolt, spacers, washers, and nut to connect the return spring and the head end of the actuator to the bracket (View A-A).
(4) S 094-015Remove the spring extender from the return spring.
(5) S 434-016Connect the hydraulic lines to the actuator.
(6) S 824-018Adjust the alternate extension system for the nose landing gear (Ref 32-35-00/501).
(7) S 864-019Pressurize the left hydraulic system (Ref/29-11-00).
