Make sure these lights show that the landing gear and doors are in the up and locked position (the lights are on the pilot's panel, P3-1):

Move the control lever for the landing gear to the OFF position.
DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(e)
Move control lever for the landing gear to the UP position.
(f)
Make sure the landing gear stays retracted and the doors are closed.
(g)
Push the ALTN GEAR EXTENSION button that is below the control lever for the landing gear. Hold it for approximately 2 seconds.
(h)
Make sure the landing gear extends to the down and locked position with all the doors open.
WARNING:_______ MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF THE AREA
AROUND THE NOSE AND MAIN LANDING GEAR. THE LANDING GEAR
AND DOORS MOVE QUICKLY AND CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND
NOTE: The landing gear tires can possibly touch the doors.

Move the control lever for the landing gear to the DN position. After 5 seconds, continue.
(k)
Move the MAIN GEAR DOOR CLOSE switch on the P72 panel to DOOR CLOSE. Hold it for approximately 2 seconds. The main gear doors should close.
(l)
Move the NOSE GEAR DOOR CLOSE switch on the P63 panel to DOOR CLOSE. Hold it for approximately 2 seconds. The nose gear doors should close.

WARNING:_______ MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF THE AREA AROUND THE NOSE AND MAIN LANDING GEAR. THE LANDING GEAR AND DOORS MOVE QUICKLY AND CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
CAUTION:_______ DO NOT TRY TO RETRACT THE LANDING GEAR FOR 2 MINUTES AFTER AN ALTERNATE EXTENSION. THIS CAN CAUSE POSSIBLE DAMAGE TO THE ACTUATOR CRANK OF THE ALTERNATE UPLOCK RELEASE ACTUATOR IF IT HITS THE DRAG STRUT.
(m) (n) (o) (p) Move the control lever for the landing gear to the UP position.Make sure the landing gear retract.Move the control lever for the landing gear to the DN position.Make sure that all the landing gear are down and locked.
(4) S 945-006Lower the airplane and remove the jacks (AMM 07-11-01/201).
(5) S 495-005Install the downlocks on the nose and main landing gear (AMM 32-00-20/201).
(6) S 415-004Close the access door 198PR (AMM 06-41-00/201).
(7) S 865-002Remove the power from the hydraulic system if it is not necessary (AMM 29-11-00/201).
(8) S 865-001Remove electrical power if it is not necessary (AMM 24-22-00/201).

1. General_______
A. This procedure contains two tasks. The first task removes the alternate uplock release actuator for the main landing gear. The second task installs the alternate uplock release actuator.
