Move the L and R MAIN GEAR DOOR CLOSE switch to the DOOR CLOSE position and hold for approximately 2 seconds. This will close the doors for the left and right main landing gear.
(u)
Make sure it takes at least 5 seconds for the main landing gear doors to close.
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF THE AREA
_______ AROUND THE NOSE LANDING GEAR. THE DOORS CLOSE QUICKLY AND CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(v)
Prepare to measure the time to close the doors for the nose landing gear.
(w)
Move the NOSE GEAR DOOR CLOSE switch to the DOOR CLOSE position and hold for approximately 2 seconds. This will close the forward doors for the nose landing gear. The switch is on the left equipment panel on the nose landing gear, P63.
(x)
Make sure it takes at least 5 seconds for the nose landing gear doors to close.
(y)
Open this circuit breaker on the circuit breaker panel, P6: 1) 6F5, LANDING GEAR ALTN EXT CONT
(z)
At the same time, move the ALL DOORS OPEN ARM switch to ARM and the ALL DOORS OPEN switch to OPEN. Hold them for approximately 2 seconds. The switches are on the P72 panel.
(aa) Make sure the landing gear doors do not move. (ab) Close this circuit breaker on the circuit breaker panel, P6: 1) 6F5, LANDING GEAR ALTN EXT CONT

(ac) Make sure the landing gear doors do not move.
(ad) Move the ALL DOORS OPEN ARM switch to ARM.
(ae) Make sure the landing gear doors do not move.
(af) Move the ALL DOORS OPEN switch to OPEN.
(ag) Make sure the landing gear doors do not move.
(ah) At the same time, move the ALL DOORS OPEN ARM switch to ARM and the ALL DOORS OPEN switch to OPEN. Hold them for approximately 2 seconds.
(ai) Make sure all the landing gear doors open.
(aj) Make sure the L and R MAIN GEAR DOOR UNSAFE lights in the main wheel wells are off. Make sure the NOSE GEAR DOOR UNSAFE light in the nose wheel well is off.
(ak) Select L COMPUTER on the EICAS Display Select Panel on the P9 panel.
(al) At the same time, move the ALL DOORS OPEN ARM switch to ARM and the ALL DOORS OPEN switch to OPEN. Hold them for approximately 2 seconds.
(am) Make sure the Alternate Landing Gear Extend Motor does not operate.
(an) Make sure the EICAS status message, LDG GEAR MONITOR, does not show on the bottom display after 30 seconds.
(ao) Select R COMPUTER on the EICAS Display Select Panel on the P9 panel.
(ap) Make sure the EICAS status message, LDG GEAR MONITOR, does not show on the bottom display after 30 seconds.
(aq) Make sure you wait at least 2 minutes after the landing gear doors opened before you try to close the landing gear doors.
(ar) Move the L and R MAIN GEAR DOOR CLOSE switch to the DOOR CLOSE position and hold for approximately 2 seconds. This will close the doors for the left and right main landing gear.
(as) Move the NOSE GEAR DOOR CLOSE switch to the DOOR CLOSE position and hold for approximately 2 seconds. This will close the forward doors for the nose landing gear. The switch is on the left equipment panel on the nose landing gear, P63.
(at) Make sure all the landing gear doors close.
