3.8.37 ALTITUDE ALERT DISCRETE
Altitude Alert discrete may be used by EGPWS for an indication that the Altitude Alert is selected.
Type: Discrete for activating the Altitude Alert tone.
Signal Status: Altitude Alert Selected or Deselected

3.8.38 CORRECTED BAROMETRIC ALTITUDE VALIDITY DISCRETE
Corrected Barometric Altitude Validity Discrete may be used by EGPWS to determine when the Corrected Altitude input is invalid. Type: Validity from Corrected Barometric Altitude computer. Signal Status: Valid or Invalid Level 6 Audio readout
Valid => “Corrected Altitude Valid”
Corrected Barometric Alt Valid
Invalid => “Corrected Altitude Invalid”
3.8.39 MOMENTARY FLAP OVERRIDE DISCRETE
Flap Override Discrete may be used by EGPWS to determine when Flap Override has been selected.
Type: Momentary make/break switch.
Signal Status: Selected or Not Selected

Momentary Flap Override Discrete Not Selected => “Not Flap Override”
3.8.40 WEIGHT ON WHEELS DISCRETE
Weight On Wheels Discrete may be used by EGPWS to determine if the aircraft is on the ground. Type: Weight On Wheels Status Signal Status: On Ground or Not On Ground

3.8.41 GPWS INHIBIT DISCRETE
This discrete inhibits all audio and visual except for Windshear, Terrain Awareness and TCF. Type: Analog discrete input from a flight deck mounted switch Signal Status: GPWS enabled or disabled Fault monitoring: Activation of this input for more than 5 seconds will result in the ‘GPWS Inhibit’ fault which will
cause a GPW INOP indication. The functionality of this input is not affected by the 'EGPWS Suppress' configuration
data item activated via the selected Category 5 ID (refer to section 5.2.5)
