FMCS -RTA PROGRESS PAGE 3/3
Purpose
The required time of arrival (RTA) progress page 3/3 permits the flight crew to enter a time constraint for an existing flight plan fix. This makes the FMCF calculate the necessary airplane changes to arrive at the fix at the specified time.

Entries and Information
Line 1L shows the RTA waypoint fix entered by the flight crew. The RTA waypoint fix can also be uplinked automatically by the automatic dependent surveillance (ADS) function of the FMCF.
If there is a an RTA fix on line 1L and an RTA time on line 1R, line 2l shows the FMCF calculated RTA speed necessary for the airplane to arrive at the RTA waypoint fix on time.
Line 5L shows the maximum speed the FMC can use for RTA calculations. The flight crew can change the maximum speed to any speed between .100 and .990. The default maximum speed value is .850.
The flight crew uses line 1R to enter the desired time they want the airplane to arrive at the RTA waypoint fix. The flight crew enters the hour, minutes, and a suffix of A, B, or blank. A shows the RTA time is at or after time. B shows the RTA time is at or before time. A blank (no suffix) shows the RTA time is at time. The RTA time can also be uplinked automatically by the automatic dependent surveillance (ADS) function of the FMCF.
Line 2R shows the predicted altitude and estimated time of arrival (ETA) at the RTA fix.
If the airplane is on the ground before a flight, the flight crew can enter a takeoff time. The FMCF uses this value to calculate RTA data.

FMCS -FIX INFO PAGE
Purpose
The FIX information (INFO) page lets the flight crew create waypoints and waypoint fixes. A fix can be, a point between the present flight plan and specific radial or a distance from a known waypoint. The CDU and navigation display (ND) show the fix information.
