FMCS -RTE 1 1/3, 2/3, and 3/3 PAGES
Purpose -RTE 1 1/3 Page
The purpose of the route (RTE) 1 1/3 page is to let the flight crew enter a lateral flight plan. This page shows:
*
Origin station
*
Runway
*
Route data uplink request
*
Route data downlink report
*
Destination airport
*
Flight number
*
Company route.
The flight crew can:
*
Select data to the scratchpad
*
Enter data
*
Delete data fields
*
Select another page.
Page Access -RTE 1 1/3 Page
To get access to the RTE 1 1/3 page, do one of these steps:
*
Push the RTE mode key
*
Push 6R ROUTE> or 6L <ROUTE line key from another pre-flight page.

Entries -RTE 1 1/3 Page
Do this to enter an origin airport:
*
Type a four character alphanumeric identifier into the scratchpad. The navigation data base must contain the identifier
*
Enter into 1L.
Do this to enter a runway:
*
Type a five character alphanumeric identifier into the scratchpad. The runway data may consist of an optional prefix of RW with one or two digits between one and 36 with a L, C, or R suffix.
*
Enter into 2L.
Push 3L <REQUEST to send the company a data uplink request for a flight plan.
Push 4L <REPORT to send the company a data downlink of the active flight plan.
Do this to enter a destination (DEST) airport:
*
Type a four character alphanumeric identifier into the scratchpad. The navigation data base must contain the identifier.
*
Enter into 1R.
Do this to enter a flight number (FLT NO):

Type up to ten alphanumeric characters into the scratchpad

Enter into 2R.
The operator may enter a company route at 3R. This causes the relative runway to show at 2L.
Do this to enter a company route (CO ROUTE):
*
Type up to ten alphanumeric characters into the scratchpad
*
Enter into 3R.
A company route entry causes this page and other route pages to fill with the applicable data. The CO ROUTE can include:
*
Origin
*
Departure procedures
*
Waypoints
*
Arrival procedures
*
Destination airport.
To enter a ROUTE COPY, select 4R ROUTE COPY>. This causes COMPLETE to show in the data field and copies the active route into the alternate route.
Page Selections -RTE 1 1/3 Page
Push 6L <RTE 2 to show the route 2 page.
Push 6L <ERASE (shows during route modifications) to delete the lateral and vertical modifications.

Push 5R ALTN> to show the alternate page.
Push 6R ACTIVATE> to activate the flight plan. This causes the EXEC light to come on.
Push 6R PERF INIT> to show the PERF INIT (VNAV) page.
Push 6R TAKEOFF> to show the TAKEOFF REFERENCE page.
Purpose -RTE 1 2/3 Page
The purpose of the RTE 1 2/3 page is to permit the flight crew to access the VIA and TO fields for the RTE 1 flight plan. Also, it lets the flight crew enter a route offset.
Page Access -RTE 1 2/3 Page
To get access to the RTE 1 2/3 page, push the NEXT PAGE function key while on the RTE 1 1/X page.
