FMCS -REF NAV DATA PAGE
Purpose
The reference navigation (REF NAV) data page shows additional data for any entered waypoint, navaid, airport, or destination runway in the data base or the flight plan route. The page also lets the user inhibit use of specific navaids for position update and inhibit the VOR/DME position update.
Page Access
To get access to this page, select NAV DATA from the INIT/REF INDEX page.
Color
All text on this page is white except for the selected VOR/DME option at 6R. The selected state (OFF or ON) is green.
Information
Line 1L shows one of these:
*
Navaid
*
Waypoint
*
Airport
*
Runway.
Line 1R, 2L, 2R, 3L, and 3R shows data that relates to the item in 1L.
Line 1R shows the frequency of the item in 1L if it is a navaid.
EFFECTIVITY
BEJ ALL
Line 2L and 2R shows the latitude and longitude of the item in 1L.
Line 3L shows magnetic variation of the item in 1L if it is a navaid with an associated VOR. Line 3L shows the runway length in feet or meters of the item in 1L if it is a runway. Line 3L is blank if for all other entries in 1L.
Line 3R shows this data:

Elevation of the item in 1L if it is valid navaid that is not a VOR
*
Valid navaid that is not a LOC only, an airport, or a runway.
Entries
To get additional information on a waypoint, navaid, airport or destination runway:

Type an identifier for a waypoint, navaid, airport or destination runway into the scratchpad
*
Enter this into 1L.
This data shows in 1R, 2L, 2R, 3L and 3R:

Latitude and longitude

To inhibit a nav aid for use in navigation position updating: Page Selections
*
Type an identifier for a navaid into the scratchpad
*
Enter this into 4L or 4R. Select 6L <INDEX to show the INIT/REF INDEX page.
You can replace or delete data from Line 4L and 4R.
To inhibit a VOR for use in navigation position updating:
*
Type an identifier for a VOR into the scratchpad
*
Enter this into 5L or 5R.
You can replace or delete data from Line 5L and 5R.
Operation
To toggle the VOR/DME NAV radio position update:
*
Select 6R when OFF is in large font to change the radio
position update to ON
*
Select 6R when ON is in large font to change the radio
position to OFF.
When the radio position update is OFF, the VOR/DME radio position update is inhibited. Any navigation aids previously selected for VOR inhibit are cleared and ALL shows in 5L and 5R.
When radio position update is ON, the VOR/DME radio position update is enabled. Dashes show in 5L and 5R and individual navigation aids can be inhibited.

FMCS -NAV RADIO PAGE
Purpose
You use the NAV RADIO page on the left and right CDUs to manually tune the VOR/DME, ADF, and ILS radios.
Page Access
To get access to the NAV RADIO page, push the NAV RAD mode key. This causes the NAV RADIO page to show for that CDU when the FMCF is the tuning source. The ALTN NAV RADIO page shows when the FMCFs fail.
Color
All text on this page is white, except for these conditions:
*
The VOR frequency and the identifier is green at 1L and 1R
*
Course is green at 2L and 2R
*
The ADF frequency is cyan at 3L and 3R.
